Manta Point is one of the best Nusa Penida snorkel sites as it offers a high chance to see the Mantas at close range. There is a large rock which acts as a cleaning station for the Manta Rays. The rock is quite shallow, sitting between 5 and 10 meters deep, this provides you with a very up close encounter while you watch them swim around.

The Manta Rays are this sites main attraction and they can be seen all year long. While there are other types of marine life that can be seen snorkeling here including Blue-Spotted Stingrays and various common reef fish, this site is really all about seeing the Mantas.

The conditions at Manta Point make this snorkel site fun for everyone. It is a relatively easy snorkel area. Generally there is a little bit of surge, however, there is very rarely any current here. Visibility can be a little unpredictable at this site, ranging between 5 and 25 meters due to the abundance of plankton in the water. Although, here this is a good thing as the Manta Rays feed on plankton!
